CargoNet

Reducing the number of stops

The Arctic Rail Express (ARE) delivers efficient transport between Oslo and Narvik in northern Norway. It is Europe’s longest direct train transport with its 1950 kilometres on a one-way trip. CargoNet is a frequent user of the railroad and their concept is based on a train commute with fruit, vegetables, fish and other goods going between Oslo and Narvik.
